Katherine Ann Byam, Founder & Managing Director
Katherine Byam is the founder of Dieple and a Fractional ESG Director, with two decades across finance, audit, supply chain and operations in global organisations, including British American Tobacco.
Katherine is an accountant by training and holds an MBA with Distinction from Grenoble Ecole de Management, specialising in intrapreneurship and innovation management: useful preparation for her move into sustainability strategy and carbon reduction at a global medical device manufacturer. She also holds certifications in ESG, sustainability management, and digital strategy from Berkeley Law and the University of Cambridge.
At CooperVision she led sustainability strategy, connecting site data to group disclosures: readiness for California’s SB 261 climate risk reporting, preparation for SB 253 emissions disclosure, and EU CSRD readiness.
She is available as an independent contract resource or on fixed-fee projects, in person or remote, across the UK and CARICOM Markets, for sustainability, transformation, restructuring and continuous-improvement mandates.
Practical ESG Delivery
- Fractional ESG leadership: owning the sustainability agenda, with accountability and effective reporting to leadership and the board.
- Fixed-fee sustainability services: Carbon Reduction Plans, green claims, SBTi and other voluntary compliance readiness, human rights due diligence, sustainability data controls, Watershed implementation, and annual reporting run for the client, plus group reporting support for subsidiaries of EU and US groups.

It reached #1 on Apple Podcasts charts in five countries, and ranked #7 on Feedspot’s UK Innovation Podcasts list and #12 on its UK Sustainability list. It relaunches in January 2027 with a focus on innovation in social impact.
